Summary:
This picture is a molecular structure inside of a plant and biochemists working with researchers figured a way to use the molecular structure of a plant to transform it into power. This is also called as "Green Energy" One of the founders of this energy is called Bruce and he thinks that this way of using energy is more clean and inexpensive. Scientists get the photosynthesis by using a system called photosystem. This way is also more cheap and helpful to the environment and Bruce hopes that in the future everyone starts using this system.
Reflective:
I think that this system can be really useful in the future and that it's green friyendly. What I wonder is will this system harm the plants where your taking the energy away from? How exactly did the biochemists and researchers find this system did they just research about the molecules and see if it was compatible to transform into energy? I also think that this power system is legitimate because the article gives tons of information about this power system.
Questions:
1. What would you prefer? This Power System or our current Power System and back up your anwser
2. Do you think that this power system will be successful and if yes why?
3. Do you think that this power system is fake or real? If you say fake explain why.
If this actually works it would be an awesome idea and it could really open up some new windows for the future! It could definitely cut back on a lot of the non renewable energy we use up today. I always try to get people around my to stay green in all different ways, especially when it comes to energy. For example a simple act like turning the lights off when you leave a room. I am going to answer question number two asking if this possess would be successful, and I think it would be. Like I said before it would lower the amount of non renewable resources we are quickly running out of like fossil fuels. We could always keep growing the plants over and over again to keep up with the energy demand. All in all it could be very beneficial to the environment and it seems to have an endless supply!
ReplyDeleteReflection: I think this research is a great idea. Much of our society is based off of non-renewable resources such as oil and natural gasses. With innovative thinking like this, scientists can find ways to get alternative energy, so when oil does run out there is no huge crisis. I think this is definitely a good thought and hopefully can be performed on a mass scale creating lots of much needed cheap, green energy.
ReplyDeleteAs a response to number 2, I do think this will be successful. Although they do have a very good idea, I have a feeling that a lot of changes and advancements will have to be made in order for it to work as efficiently and safely as they hope. This will surely be a huge advancement in the field of alternative energies!!

ReplyDeleteThis is a very big breakthrough in the way our planet survives. Obviousily if this idea works it could spark a multitude of different, greener energy sources. Personally I believe that this could be one of many alternitive energy sources in the future that we would turn to. I just don't clearly understand how they can use plants as an energy source that produces enough energy to support human activites. It takes alot of energy just to run some lights for a couple of hours. Can plats produce enough energy to do that? I would lik to look into that a litt bit more just out of my own curiousity. When or if the plant energy option becomes available to us everyday humans, would we have to have our own plants in our yard? Or would there be literally like a "Power Plant(s)" that would supply power to all surrounding towns. If we have to have our own plants for our own house holds, this wont be a proble for us. My mother loves to garden and I dont think shed mind planting some plants that would help pay the energy bill. As long as their not too ugly. I will answer question number 3. Well, as of now I personally think that the idea is fake. Only because I have not seen enough information myself that proves that this idea is true and works 100% I do believe that this is at least an idea for an alternitive energy source as I stated before. It is a brilliant idea and with time and hard work, I think scientests and biologists can work together and bring this idea off the drawing board and into the real world.
ReplyDeleteHaving this new source of energy could be a great discovery. My only concern is this may kill the plants in the process. If it does kill plants than solar and wind energy would be much better for the environment than this new energy. If this new energy doesn't kill plants it could lead to a unlimited renewable energy, and this could change the way we live.
ReplyDeleteI would like to answer question 2. Like I said This could trump our old energy system, but If this kills plants than it is no better that our old system.
